Many things can be true at once. Iowa State fans shouldn't be jerks here. Let's be supportive of Williams and send all the positive vibes possible that he can make a full recovery and be the player this staff believes he can be (and prove the reason why they targeted him so early in the Portal - the potential is there). There have been sacrifices all around in this situation, a situation that nobody (on any side) wants to be in, particularly in this NIL era where decisions are tough and there are real $$ that matter to CBB teams.
I like it! Without saying it, you're saying your judgment is better than that of ISU coaches. Right? If not, explain why your judgment is superior to that of theirs.
If you were us, how could you possibly believe your opinion could have relevance here? So, that leaves we here to wonder about your motivation. Care to explain your position?
It’s been known for months he would be out for the year, that’s why they brought in Nelson after the injury. It just resurfaced today because of the surgery announcement.

I'm fine with it. ISU has made serious hay with guys that have sat a year. It's just an investment for the following two years IMO.

Jefferson and Gilbert were both injured when we took them. If Jefferson had been healthy, he probably ends up somewhere else.

And to add to that.... I didn't say he'll never play here... I hope he does... he looks like a good player. I'm just saying us Cyclone fans have been down this road before... and many times the kid never plays a single minute for us. and not always the kid's choice either I'm sure.

Those guys played in the Stone Age compared to the current college basketball landscape.
This might be a blessing in disguise because now TJ will be forced to play some freshman. We might actually see some guys that were highly ranked to begin with improve over their career rather than sitting on the bench then bolting.
They still had a year to develop, much like this guy will. Doesn't matter if they don't have to sit out modern day.
