Most coaches don’t redshirt freshman any more. It’s not just prohm.

The last non-academic, non-transfer RS that we had was SDW.

He did not really turn into much of anything for us.

I doubt he will either, honestly I doubt either Prohm or Anderson has even had that discussion and wont until the fall after they see his role. Anderson has stretch 4 ability and his shooting and ability to ball handle should translate well next year so theirs an opportunity to contribute.

Prohm did come out after the season and regretted not RS Griffin, so is obviously open to doing so and may look to do that in the future.
Likely a different situation since Griffin had a couple of injuries leading into the season putting him behind and then the roster was thin due to suspensions and other players injuries.

Griffin was hard because he was the #8 man in the rotation at one point.

You kind of had to play him at that point with a bench of Lewis and Conditt.

5 Big 12 teams started players that had RS. Hell TCU sat two 4* kids. It's more a Prohm thing than you think. Not saying anyone should have last year or Anderson should, just saying, a lot of kids still RS.

I think this kid will be a a huge steal and make a mark his first year. But seriously though, the coaching staff needs to hire me as a consultant to get him, TH, and Conditt to put on some mass. I am not talking about weights, I am talking about teaching them how to eat like a fat kid.
