Anyone have an old Minotla Maxxum lens they are willing to part with? I got my wife a Sony A100 for Christmas and need to add a long range lens to the aresenal. 70-210 or so.

B&H is a great site - fair prices and very fast service.

C.John - thanks for the link to keh.com - have never heard of 'em before, seems like a decent site. :)

No problem. One thing about KEH is that they tend to be pickier when it comes to evaluating the equipment. An item listed as being in a bargain condition would be listed as a good or good+ on other sites. I picked up a Vivitar 283 flash that was listed as Bargain and it was in better condition than one that I had bought from a different well known site that had there's listed as Good.

Go around some of the photography forums and you'll get some positive comments about KEH. Examples:

I have bought from KEH and endorse the comments above. KEH is by no means the lowest cost vendor but they consistently overdeliver on product condition.

I bought a camera from keh in "bargain" condition because I was strapped for cash. If I had to rate the camera I would have given it a "very good" or "excellent minus".

I just made a $130 offer on a Minolta Maxxum 70-210 F4 lens (nick named the "beer can") on consignment at the local camera store. They had it marked for $150. Looking on ebay that seems like a good price.
