forgot it was senior day, yeah you wouldn't think we'd let them beat us then.

I used to bet ISU sports. Put $500 on ISU on senior day against OSU. No way they could lose. It was Fred's senior day. Great ISU senior class. But they lost. And I had to tell my wife I lost $500 betting sports. And had to meet my guy (never knew his name) on the corner to pay off.

Defensive intensity needs to be even better (to add on to today's great effort) against a team that's going to be able to do a lot more with the ball.

Yup. Fred mentioned in post-game how they had good practices this week and the emphasis on D, specially the 3-pt line after Selden went something like 4-5 in second half last Mon.

We're gonna need it again Mon to slow down Buddy Hield, who is shooting 39% from trey. Who will we have guarding him; Naz or BDJ ??

They weren't losing either game to OSU either. In fact, they weren't going to lose a game the rest of the way, amiright?

Haven't you heard? They never lose a game, they only beat themselves.

My point is whiny ISU fans have already crowned KU's *** weeks ago and will go to any desperate transitive length possible to show that ISU has no chance just so they can be whiny *******.

I crowned them as soon as we lost to TT. Odds of winning the conference by any measure (including kenpom) are way in their favor

Durangocy predictions
ISU 8-0, Conference Champs
ISU 7-1, Tie for Conference Champs, which unfortunately won't break the streak and shut up the media.
ISU 6-2, 2nd Place
ISU 5-3, 2nd Place tie
ISU 4-4, 3rd Place

I'll pick 6-2 because I'm an optimist.

KU isn't losing either game to WVU.

I still think WVU beats KU in Morgantown.

My prediction is that ISU is one game behind KU entering the final day of the regular season. ISU will beat TCU in Fort Worth and then whether KU wins it outright or shares with us will be determined in their game @ Oklahoma. We will all be Sooners that day.

OSU can score. WVU cannot.

OSU beat Kansas by scoring 67 points today. WVU has scored that much or more in 7 of their 10 Big 12 games, and they scored 65 in an 8th.

WVU has scored 77 or more points in half of their Big 12 games (five of ten). For comparison, ISU has hit that mark in only four of ten Big 12 games.

But carry on

KU will smash them.

Hey. I'd like WVU to win but they have been exposed and they are gonna fall off the map real quick cause they've really beaten nobody other than OU and they are playing awful right now.

I'll go so far to say WVU is the 7th or 8th best team in the Big 12. Depends on if KSU has foster or not and they may still be better without Foster

I really liked our chances this year, but I don't love the next 6 weeks. Id be happily surprised if we still pull it off, and yes its still possible. I just don't expect that outcome any longer this season. Def still have the players to make it happen, one game is one game, and KU on the road has not been great.

Here's a quick attempt to show the difficulty of the remaining schedules for Kansas and Iowa State, using KenPom rankings. I averaged KU and ISU in order to create a fictional team, and matched that fictional team up with each of the 12 remaining games between the two teams. So this assumes that Kansas and Iowa State are equal strength, and gives the win expectancy of each game remaining.

So this does show that Kansas has an easier schedule from here out. The hybrid team would be expected to win 0.79 more games against Kansas's remaining schedule rather than against Iowa State's remaining schedule.

I agree that 6-2 is being an optimist. However, around here picking ISU to get 2nd place means that you're not a real fan, that you've already crowned KU, and are now part of the whiny ******* crowd.
