Indefinetly means nothing in any program until all the facts are out.

And of course CPR wont say its not a big deal being a simple misdeameanor.

Are you slow?

Indefinitely means I'm gonna wait on the facts but until then your dumb *** is removed from any activities related to this football team! BTW, are you slow? Or just "crazy"! Get a grip man! It's ok for people in this business to still believe in integrity and honesty!

I think we've maintained all along that being a cop in a larger city and being a cop in small town Iowa are NOT the same thing. Not even close.

Huge difference.................tough to be a big city cop. They have my respect!!!!

Well, you were one that said it Al, but not everyone was making the distinction. I'm more satisfied.

And, wow, did this thread blow up after I went to sleep.

Not talking about "punishment", but remembering how Lattimer pushed Stanzi (was that his only Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty?), and admittedly reading between the lines, I wonder if he wouldn't benefit from some anger management counseling. Seems as though he might need to learn to control counterproductive impulses.

You sure about that? Suspensions come in all colors.

Of course you notice when he realizes that he isn't getting the rise out of us that he thought he was, he disappears.

He is TRULY "that" guy.

bahahahahaha, turns out i have things going on and don't sit around on CF waiting for the nerds to respond.

I think it was more or less implied, since I think it's safe to say that the majority of us here don't have any experience with cops from cities/towns bigger than Des Moines, Ames, Iowa City, etc.

What is O/U on number of replies in thread discussing punishment for unknown facts (barring duplicate threads, which of course there will be at least 4 others). I say 175.

You suck at making O/U lines.... Easy money too bad we couldn't bet on it.

Not a police officer, nor have any friends or family members that are members, but still respect what they do. Some on here are quick to criticize professions that are very important in society. Of course every profession has people that are weak links, but some on here are painting with a very broad brush. If you are doing what you are supposed to, trouble will not find you most of the time.

Sounds like Lattimer threw a cop off his buddy that was being arrested. I was told his buddy came in pretty messed up not sure from the cops or what.

I do know they were both seperate instances with Lattimer and Howard.

Interesting. The plot thickens.

You ARE reading between the lines. You couldn't be more than a million percent wrong here. It really ticks me off when people make claims like this. Do you even know Jake? Nope, you don't. So why would you make a claim that he needs anger management? that's just plain stupid.

Jake is probably one of the nicest, down to earth guys you will ever meet. He's not like some football players and athletes who get cocky and let all the accolades they get go to their head. Jake is far from needing any type of counseling. He was simply drunk and made a bad decision.

In my final year of college, I lived in Cyclone Plaza and we had a balcony facing North. It was just a typical weekend in Ames, nothing special. Anyway, we are sitting on our balcony, having some drinks and the cops were on the sidewalk below. This kid comes rding through on a bike. He wasn't being obnoxious or riding to fast though people or anything but the cop stops him and the kid just stopped and goes to get off his bike and the next thing we know, there are two cops taking him down and handcuffing him. They then go to search his backpack and there was nothing in there. They end up letting him go. That's just an example of what can happen in Ames. I have seen stuff like that more than once. Not saying it happened here because I wasn't there, but perhaps Jake felt his friend was being treated in a way that was overkill. If that is indeed what happened, I would have a hard time blaming him or anyone else for defending someone. I don't care if they were a cop. Badges don't give you the right to just do whatever the **** you want when you want.

I sure hope this isn't true. If Latt put his hands on an officer, he is done. If the cops "tuned" up his buddy, they too should be done.

+1

Well theres a few that aren't. A very very VERY small percentage of cops aren't total Dbags, and actually have respect for rights.

Can we just post pictures about AmesHawk from now on? Haha I'll keep it going.

Lol.jpg

These stupid pictures are my pet peeve. Man are they ********.
