Yes, check out that Wikipedia link. I think ours are the "Arizona Sun" variety - which is the image I posted.
You could also do a Golden Lights Azalea on that side. We have one on the east side of our house and it seems to do well.

Some of I'm going to wait on.
I was going to get a burning bush but they were out at the time.
I did get some gaillardias and black eyed susans for the time being. Grandparents have a ton of landscaping so we're going to wait until fall and grab some stuff from them at no cost.
It's still pretty bare.
