Lafester danced up a storm at the Cave Inn that night...............it was a heck of a good time. I'm still disappointed Gary Tompkins got mono that year....one of the finest teams we ever had......as good as Fizer and company.

Watching that nearly brought me to tears because it is a perfect example of how Hilton Magic has died. Hate to reflect on the past, but it will never be the same as it was then. The games were such an event back then. You couldn't take my ticket from me at gunpoint. It was that important. Dear lord what has happened....

I was at that game and I agree that Hilton Magic isn't the same today but I think we can get there again eventually. You gotta believe!!!!:smile:

I had the joy of sitting in first row balcony seats for that game. I was SCREAMING at the person next to me during the overtime and he didn't hear a word that I said.

We were fortunate enough to get 4th row seats behind Johnny for the entire Christmas break. The Iowa and Kansas games were the highlights along with one game where you could hear Johnny telling Elmer Robinson to pull his head out a certain part of his anatomy.

The Iowa game was great. I flipped off Iowa after the confrontation with Johnny and Bruce Pearl saw it and gave me a smirk. God I hated Jeff Moe...
