I was having a hard time yelling during our "3rd down Lets make some noise" after the 5th one in a row. Especially when we had them pinned deep several times and we let CJ escape and Vanderwhatever catch a pass.

Yea, I thought maybe I was jinxing us cause I just have that kind of power, so I tried just sitting and clapping, but that didn't work either.

Yep. Two tackles for loss and then a 45 yard play. Then later 2 tackles for loss and a 50 yard play.

Then 5 missed tackles on a punt return.

Maybe we (crowd) should try complete silence on 3rd and long a few times to see if that prevents a conversion

I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I heard myself just fine when i was yelling profanities at the team.

I would like to know when an opposing team is backed up to the end zone why our fans our so quite? The QB should not be able to hear himself think. This also happens when the team gets down, the fans just become quite, that is when they need our support! If you go to a game at Hilton, the fans know when the team needs our support and the fans are ready to help them thru that time. I know it is easier when you are winning, but it just frustrating.

Sorry for my vent.

Bad fan here.

Honestly I haven't yelled on a 3rd down yet this year. I've just been so burned over the last several seasons by our defenses inability to get off the field in crucial situations I just can't get myself to do it anymore. What we saw last Saturday with Iowa converting the 3rd and a mile's multiple times has happened a ridiculous number of times during the Rhoads tenure.

Between offensive ineptitude and 3rd and a mile conversions for the opponents, I'm not sure which one you'd choose to define the Rhoads era.

[sigh]

Where are your seats? The sound in the SEZ is so loud you cannot hear anything else.

Agree. I am in section B and it was loud as hell in the 1st half when Iowa was backed up. Same in the UNI game.

2nd half when everyone was depressed and hopeless, yeah it was a quieter.
