Of course I do. But, that opinion is made by looking back on my 12 year old self with 37 year old eyes. I can't put myself in the same frame of reference, because I'm simply not that person anymore. It's the reason why parents can still get mad at their kids for underage drinking, knowing full well that they did the same thing when they were younger. It's not right or wrong. It just is.

I'm not sure what there is to disagree with. It's completely cyclical. Just look at the past. You can go back through our nation's history and find the same arguments being used to decry the younger generation of the time, whether it be violent youths on motorcycles, drugged out, long haired hippies, initiation rituals of the Crips and Bloods, etc. Our nation's "out of control youth" has been "threatening" to take us down for years and years and years, with their lawlessness, yet they never quite seem to pull off the task.

I didn't say out of control or that they were going to take down the country. I just think there are a lot more ******* 8 year olds now that don't get/can't be punished.

I don't think you'll find a lot of real data to back that up. As others have said, our access to reports on incidents of youth violence has drastically improved with the internet and the 24hour news cycle, but youth crime is actually down compared to in the past.

Again, for about the fourth time, I didn't say anything about crime. Just ********. Of course, maybe i just hate kids, but I don't think that's the case.

Random thought, but is it legal in Iowa to carry an expanding baton? Might be a nice substitute for those not comfortable carrying a gun, plus you'd look like a bad *** pulling one of those out of your pocket

Counterpoint: Kids have always "sucked"/"been good kids" at the same relative levels. They just keep annoyingly find new ways to do both that confuse us more and more the older we get.
