Here's my one funny story about Michelle. One day MrsWx got a phone call from the station saying that a restaraunt had called and apologized for not processing her credit card. However, the restaraunt was an hour away and she hadn't been out of the house that day. Concerned someone was trying to use her credit card MrsWx called the restaraunt and the lady said that someone had recognized her and called the station. Again...she hadn't been out of the house.

Turns out, they confused MrsWx with Michelle.

I worked with Michelle at Channel 8 several years ago and everything you hear about her is true. She is one of the nicest, kindest people you'd ever hope to meet. It doesn't surprise me that she was at a birthday party for a photographer the night she fell ill. She was always the one you could count on to be at the station get-togethers. That station was very much her family.

I'll miss her friendship, her friendliness, the hugs I got whenever I ran into her around town. This city is a little worse off without her.

You can really tell this when the reporter reporting the incident almost breaks down in tears during it. That says something for all the sad stories out there sometimes, for one to get so personal for a colleague.

My wife and I were sitting near Cynthia Fodder at church last night and she was visibly upset during the entire service. When we got home and found out about what happened it made much more sense.

sad really. we were at a make-a-wish fund raiser saturday with Cynthia, Steve Karlin and a couple of folks. We weren't able to make it to the party she was at. Actually, a little glad we weren't able to make it.

You won't find a nicer person. Always treated MrsWx with class and had nothing but smiles for our kids.
