Super productive. We already have a two very good young PGs. Not sure if he'd be super interested. We'll see.

Re: Kareem Canty, Marshal PG

Want. By the time he'd be able to play, our guard situation would look like this

Naz (Sr)
Monte (Jr)
MT (Jr)
SDW (Jr)
Custer (So)

You can never have too many good guards, and at least 2 of the guys above haven't proven they can contribute yet (SDW, lack of minutes; Custer, for obvious reasons)

I found this article

http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-ba...lared-ineligible-ncaa-dd-scarver-deandre-kane

So essentially, he has already used his RS, which means he'd have 2 years left to play when we get him, right?

I'd still take him.

Marshall, point guard, from New York. Probably no good...the last one didn't pan out too well did it?:jimlad:

Marshall? Has this kid even played against real competition? I doubt experience at Marshall counts as anything!

I hope we can get a visit from Canty. He is legitimate. Cornell Man I believe recruited him before..

Looks like he's got some streetball handles. Last PG from NY like that worked out pretty well too:

Re: Kareem Canty, Marshal PG

You can never have enough guards that can score and dribble.

Morris, Canty, Naz and Thomas would make for a very nice backcourt next year to go with Niang, McKay, Nader and anyone else that we bring in through the transfer market

Re: Kareem Canty, Marshal PG

DeAndre Kane shot .250 and then .248 from 3PT his last two years at Marshall. He shot .398 from 3PT this year with Iowa State. That is what happens when you transfer from a talented school, but one that requires high volume from one or two weapons. Hoiberg prefers to have an arsenal of options on offense, especially from deep. I'm sure Fred helps bring up the average of a lot of distance shooters too though being the best 3PT shooter ever.
