Seems like something rather major to be doing in mid-season. Why didn't they do this earlier? Did they need roots to grow in place for a while?
Posted in the other thread, but essentially yes. They could've done it right before the season, but Matt likes to get the team a bunch of stadium practice time before the season starts. The stuff takes a LONG time to get put down.

Huge amount of dirt in that one lot. How high are they supposedly raising everything up for flood prevention?

5ft, is what was said.

The initial article a month or so ago said they are raising the building pads 5ft above the floodplain. So take that for what it says. Is that 5ft above the floodplain, so to the floodplain level plus 5ft, or 5ft total that brings it above the floodplain. I believe it is probably the second.

It also said the building pads. So are they only raising the buildings? Initially they said the raising the lots.

Maybe someone else has more info.

So, If we are walking towards JTS and the lots are now 5 feet higher, does this mean we will take stairs or ramps downward towards Albaugh Family Plaza?

I heard Pollard on KXNO say a few weeks ago that the entire parking lot area is being raised to the level of Center Drive, which is the street just south of Hilton.
If they're raising it, there are so many more questions I have. Are they excavating a flood plain? What becomes of the underpass? Is there going to be multilevel parking? What becomes of the level north of Center Drive?

Most of the parking lots are below the level of Jack Trice way/Albaugh. You have to climb up to them now. not as much as Center drive though.

they will probably make the entire area level from Center Drive to JT Way.

That's a 2 yard dumpster and they are 3.5' tall.
Looks like JT Way could be another 12-18" above the dumpster, so raising the parking lots 5' would be about right.

Dang thats a lot of water that will end up elsewhere, aren't they adding tanks of some sort under the parking lots? I have no idea how all that works

Question for those who know about such things, what do they do with all the old concrete? Shove it in a landfill somewhere or is there a way to recycle?

Ok, this makes sense. I forgot about walking upward toward the stadium.
