He took a sponsorship agreement with Impossible Foods so Nathan’s banned him from the hot dog eating contest.
Cash rules everything around meIt is a bit odd for someone who clearly isn’t a vegan to take a sponsorship deal from a brand supporting meat alternatives.
I mean Nathan's offered him 1.2 million over 4 years if impossible is a better deal I'd probably eat ****** meat substitute products on camera tooIt is a bit odd for someone who clearly isn’t a vegan to take a sponsorship deal from a brand supporting meat alternatives.
I'm guessing their angle is to raise awareness with non-vegan/vegetarians. After all, only ~10% of the US population is vegan or vegetarian. Their growth segment is probably people who are open to eating less meat or replacing it with other products. It is a bit odd for someone who clearly isn’t a vegan to take a sponsorship deal from a brand supporting meat alternatives.
Lets not pretend liquified organs, lips, and ******** aren’t already meat substitute!!I mean Nathan's offered him 1.2 million over 4 years if impossible is a better deal I'd probably eat ****** meat substitute products on camera too
This is pretty much spot on from the interview I saw about their brand “relaunch”. Basically saying if they can get 1% of meat eaters to rotate Impossible products with meat they will be wildly successful.I'm guessing their angle is to raise awareness with non-vegan/vegetarians. 1. If I never see Joey Chestnut on TV again I’m fine with that.
2. Meat has a very loose definition here no matter which side you fall on. Very loose.
I find it fascinating people want to watch other people eat hotdogs
