Some of the reporters at this press conf are openly hostile to them for firing paterno.

PSU grad friend on FB has been going nuts the last couple days. Saying Paterno did his responsiblity under the law and had no obligation to do more. Now she's super ****** that ESPN is reporting he's out.

She has a two-year old son. I can't believe her stance on this. PSU kool-aid must be strong stuff.

This whole ugly and disgusting thing is a failure on every persons part that had any responsibility at Penn State.

Penn State Scandal Timeline: Key Dates In The Jerry Sandusky Sex Abuse Case

This timeline shows how many times the ball was dropped and people did not do their jobs. It is sad that Joe Pa has to end his career this way, but it is much worse what happened to these children who are now young adults. To think they had to live their lives with this is unconscionable.

My question is this, how in the HELL was Sandusky allowed to work at Second Mile after every report of sexual assault?! HOW?!!! A failure of responsibility and oversight.

Interesting piece on NPR today about how collegiate sports have been spiralling out of control. THe guest they had on speculated that this would be what tips the scales to reform college sports. It sheds light on the risks institutions are willing to take to promote their brand, and continue success in the world of college sports.

Wow.... didn't think it would happen this quickly.

It's a nasty story which triggers a strong emotional response. If there is strong majority people telling Penn State that they need to fire Joe Pa, then Penn State will. Also Penn State needs to clean out their program, and this is the first step.

Not sure who the guy is answering all the questions but I feel sorry for him ... getting drilled.

Completely agree. And what was with that question about the student's marching on campus for Paterno? Students will get over it, everyone involved in this cover up had to go.

Some of these reporters are just getting after him, he seems to be getting a little chippy himself.

No kidding. I am not sure what they expected. This is a complete failure of Penn State. Changes need to be made.
