Rome's take on Bill Walton calling his son Luke pretending to be Paul Pierce before the NBA finals was hilarious too.
That radio show makes me laugh out loud more than any other show. I took Rome's advice and gave his show a 2 week trial. First week was 'ok', but once you listen daily... freaking awesome.
Yep, you definitely have to give it a few weeks to pick up on all the inside humor. His show definitely gets me through the work day........also Kyle Moss works for Rome, and he is a Cyclone.....I'm hoping Jay Mohr guest hosts next week.
I used to HATE Rome, but then got temporarily laid off of my job for the summer and loved it. Its something you need to regularly listen to understand it, then once you do you're good to go anytime.

i agree with you in some sense ... i listen to him when i get the chance because i like his endless rants about nothing but tend to listen to tireco and van pelt more ....
Agreed, you have to know the humor to get the show...
Mohr is great but no guest host beats the Sklar brothers!

I've listened quite a bit for at least 5 years now and he does have his moments but they come every other month. I think he thrives off the internet geeks and losers who like to feel like part of the "cool kids" club because they know all his little jokes. I'll listen up until the point where he says the same thing over and over for about 5 minutes straight and then I change the station.
I was on drumline with Kyle at Urbandale back in the day. It was awesome to hear that he had made it to the big time helping out with Rome's show. I remember listening to him DJ on the old Channel Q.
I tried listening to it and I just don't like it, just personal preference. I would rather listen to M&M than Rome. I think my favorite show is the Dan Patrick show, but I don't get to listen very much.
