Battles used to be something special. Back when it was behind U.S. bank. It was owned by that old guy. Free bottomless fresh lemonade. The sides were decent. I remember walking past that place every day, on the way to class(I parked in the residential area behind student congress parking). It was brutal on those really cold days when the smell was so concentrated. Man that was good bbq! Since that old guys passing, it has just steadily gone down hill. The family did a fairly decent job of keeping the flavor/meat bbq quality, but when the they sold the sides took a dive, no more free refills, no personality to the business. Once my wife found a fly in the beans..... I still like it overall, but it is a far cry from its origins.
