Jethro's coming to Johnston

Another Jethros is going to open in Johnston! The location is off 86th on Windsor headed up to summit.
I know that there are alot of CF'ers in Johnston/Urbandale area so I'm pumped!

Got me some Jethro's leftovers in the fridge from tonight. Can't wait for tomorrow. Didn't read the link, is it going to have a specialty?

Also heard that this will be the last Jethro's built in the Metro as the owners don't think the market will be able to handle anymore.

I'm surprised they are building another one. It's ok BBQ, but there are numerous better, and cheaper, BBQ joints in the metro area IMO.

The only one that I would say is better is Smokey D's. But after Smokey D's and Jethros, there is a large drop off.

Heard they're adding some seafood to the menu. Personally I think the classic menu at drake is by far the best. I also have leftovers from tonight. But it's from Smokey D's. also a really good BBQ joint

I thought I heard the one out in waukee is like a Cajun style restaraunt

I personally think they're pulled pork nachos are the best on the planet

Smoky D's and Woody's Smoke Shack are my favorites. I always leave Jethros happy, but thinking I could have gotten better BBQ cheaper. But I still enjoy the atmosphere of Jethro's more. More tv's for watching games. Woody's is nice to eat outside on a nice day, but the place is tiny.

Pretty sure all the restaurants have the "classic menu", its just that the newer ones have other items such as cajun, and seafood.

I'm pretty sure they use the sauce from the Mac n cheese. Which is also my favorite Mac n cheese ever. So creamy and delicious

You're right, its at least 4 miles to the ones they currently have and the new one will be about 7 miles from there. Definitely not very close.
