I just ran into Jamie Pollard at Jordan Creek Mall. (He was having lunch w/someone) ...and among other things I asked him how his little boy James was doing. He calmly said, "Better. Whatever it is they are giving him seems to be working!" I told him that the entire Cyclone "Fanatic" Family was praying for him, in hopes of a speedy recovery, and much improvement. He said (rather humbly) to tell everyone "Thank you very much, and your prayers are greatly appreciated!"

That's great news about James! What a tough little kid. Hopefully he can beat this thing once and for all.

Thank YOU for being such a great representative of Cyclone Fanatic and all the fans of Cyclone Nation. I'm sure that meant quite a lot to Mr Pollard - you could have asked about recruiting or construction or most anything else right in the middle of the football season. The fact that you did what you did had to mean a lot to him. You put things in the proper perspective. Good job, Psyclone Brian.

Totally forgot to mention that, yeah. When he was giving me a tour of the basketball facility, he mentioned that he'd brought James into the men's lounge area late on a Saturday night recently, shortly after he'd gotten out of the hospital. Pollard said the little guy practically pooped his pants when he saw how big their TV was, and promptly had a blast beating up on his dad in PS3, and then watching college football replays with Jamie Vanderbeken. He didn't want to leave, and only did so willingly because Jamie said James could come back anytime and play video games with him.

I'm SO glad he's doing okay; he's such an adorable guy.

Coach Rhoads needs to have James give the team a pep talk before the game tomorrow for some inspiration.

Great news for the Pollards.
