And everyone forgets this guy but Tim Barnes had the best handles of any ISU player ive seen other than JT. He might have been the quickest also.
Tyrus McGee would like a wordHali is the best basketball player we've had but JT had better handles. Just like Jake Sullivan is the best shooter we ever had.

Hali is just a better player. To be clear I think Tinsley is the better ball handler. Tyrese is the better passer.
Tinsley was like a generational playground legend ball handler and Tyrese is one of the best passers we've seen in the NBA (both style/flash and effectiveness).
I still remember Tinsley having like 21 assists in a game as a rookie. The only knock on JT really is that he wasnt much of a shooter.Sorry if this has already been noted. Had to look it up, but Rick Carlisle was the Pacers head coach for a portion of Tinsley's time there and an assistant during part of Fred's time as a Pacer.

Even on "flash" Tyrese is one of the best I've ever seen like Magic, Pistol and Joker. It's not like he is just a steady take care of the ball guy like Monte was for us or a Stockton in the NBA. I think he's a better passer than Tinsley both results and style points. Other than Jokic he's the best full court passer in the world too.
Basically he gives you the Tinsley wow but with the Monte assist/TO ratio. Then his "jump pass" is a straight up statistical revolution or anomaly statistically, we'll see in a few years if there are lots of PGs doing it.
