MJ really played well. I was expecting his performance to take a downturn now that conference play started, but he proved just as valuable as the noncon tonight.

We have the obnoxious relentless OU player that has always seemed to torment us. He's the one guy on our team I want taking mid range twos frequently as well.

So much for the talk of MJ being more limited when we get into the B12 games.

Too much was made out of the game the other night for a few players. First Big 12 game, on the road, and the first game in almost 2 weeks. Jacobson's offensive production was going to come down regardless, but will still be a very productive player for us.

So is Solomon just not in the rotation or still working himself back to full health?

My wife watched this game with me. Yay, relationship goals!

She is not what you call a "sports person" very often.

She said that "Jacobson did not look that good," but she liked Lard blocking those shots.

I actually think that is a credit to Jacobson in some ways that a lay observer might not notice him because he was not scoring or blocking shots -- he was out there playing defense, boxing out, and rebounding. You know, real scrappy, lunch pail kind of stuff.

:p

...but that is fine. Solomon would do the same thing. The "5" man in our system needs to do that. Our guards and wings are plenty capable of scoring.

Do you really want to take many touches away from NWB, Shayok, Horton-Tucker, Haliburton, or Wigginton when one (or more) of them is hot on a given night, right?

I would have liked a few of Mike's hooks to fall, but that was okay. He did his job.

Here's what really amazed me about our seven man rotation. It seemed like a nine man trying to find Minutes for everyone. Basically all seven could put up twenty plus on a given night. All five guards deserve thirty minutes plus and both bigs are capable of 25 or so unless foul trouble gett in the way.

Brother in law lives in Kansas(and is a Kansas fan).........texted during the game asking about him. Always a good sign that things are going well.
