Wish he would’ve panned out, but he simply didn’t look good when he was on the court. Hope he finds somewhere he can get some playing time and develop!
When was he on the court.

We have to assume he didn't look ready in practice. Hope change helps him get better or at least get chance to play

I think you will see high major programs be more conservative recruiting big men out of high school. They take a while to develop and then tough to keep in a program long enough to see value. Nothing against JT. Still has a lot of upside and development ahead of him.

I think he's going to be one of those names we will be reading about in the future. Wish him the best. Always impressed by players who leave high school early.

Yeah, is it naive to think that since developing young guys isn't really viable for teams looking to make a run in March, TJ told him to go prove himself in a lower conference, and if both sides are interested in 1-2 years, he could look at transferring back? Has that even happened before?

This is my shocked face. Pretty easy to see this one coming a long time ago. His skills aren’t high major.
I’m starting to get the same vibe off of Nojus. I really hope I’m wrong but I feel we are going to continue to recruit over him in the portal.

It's got to be really hard to develop the TJ "culture" when the team make-up is a revolving door. Don't be surprised when things don't click. It's where we are now.

I doubt it’s a talent issue

He would have played if under Prohm and Hoiberg imo

What did he do that would make you think that? Even the little run he got at the beginning of the year he did basically nothing. Not good on defense and didn’t make shots.

I did not understand the clamoring for him. Who cares how many stars he had.

When college athletes have multiple year contracts, I think you’ll see this.

The wealthy programs could easily continue to pay Rock’s salary at a SDSU or UNI’s so he can develop. Call him up when he’s a senior

I’m not clamoring for him to stay.

“Not good” on defense is an issue in terms of getting PR for any player to this program.

But it is a very common characteristic of freshman that go on to be very productive

Previous staffs overlooked defense more. Generally not a good thing for this program in an era in which offense is expensive

But it does likely lead to freshmen developing faster
