Freedom is tough for lots of people. To live in a free society you must also recognize and respect other people’s freedom regardless of whether you think their choices are right. Of course there are black and white items like murder and stealing, others that are grey which smoking around others might fall into, but I think to maintain a free society we must try not to impose laws and restrictions on others. For anyone advocating restrictive type laws, eventually you will also be restricted as well. While I understand “the right reasons” I don’t support making decisions for other “free” people.

Let's be honest - some "free" people are too stupid to NOT put lit fireworks in their pants.

Drinking age for us was 18. We could handle the responsibility back then.

Actually you couldn't. Drunk driving deaths for people under 21 were horrendous. It's dropped significantly since that time.
