People point to NIL $ available outside the program.

Not saying it is the case with TO. The other reality is players are probably aware to some degree what their teammates are making. Which has got to create another dynamic for coaches.

The loss of Onyedim is tough. But even though he's been a 3 year starter, I have a rough time saying it's a big loss. I saw flashes, but not consistency of production. Is that system, development, etc.

But the coaching staff... and the "insiders".. were telling us all summer how Snyder was the real deal and was dominating in practice!

Oh wait... do they say that just to sell season tickets? My bad.
He might have been. But off-season hype is pretty typical. Coaches say something positive and fans/media tend to take the ball and expound.

Also wasn't Snyder hurt during middle of season. Or was that cover. I believe Snyder's going to Texas State, so not like other P4 coaches were jumping to add him.

What’s the word on Iowa State’s revenue sharing for next year? This is a huge selling point for Texas Tech in the portal right now.

I took out a loan to buy season tix because CW said Kennard Snyder is a good pass rusher. My wife and kids left me and I’m living on the street. Help me clonedude

I was really excited about TO as a RSFR. But, he kind of regressed. Would still rather have him than not, but it’s not the biggest loss. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He has NFL size and quickness as a DT. But he’s not much of a pass rusher at DE. Would not be surprised to see him end up G5.

Nothing is ever for sure in these times... someone like Texas could come in and offer Big Citrus the world.. and he'd be dumb not to take it. It's the way it is. Nothing to lose sleep over. We can't compete if there are any teams out there wanting to give a kid life changing money.
Big citrus gets buried on a UT or other SEC depth chart. If he wants to make real money he needs to go pro, and he can improve his stock by playing and he’ll play if he stays

In my defense, I take everything Williams and Blum say with a grain of salt as well. Way too many posters take their word as gospel and lash out when it doesn’t go that way.
100%. They do a podcast while drinking whiskey. Who would tell them anything? lol

And not to be disrespectful to them but a lot more of us have played the game far more than they have. I tune out any X’s and O’s they try to give.
Williams and Blum usually stay out of Xs and Os and leave that to Woody and Bruns.

I feel bad for those of you who have felt burned by whatever they've said before. I believe they're being as open and honest with us as possible. They don't try to blow sunshine up our asses unless there's good reason. They've been fans as long as many of us, and certainly their commitment to the university far out paces almost all of us.

When they're wrong it usually pretty clear that it's because things have changed or their information wasn't good for whatever reason.

He’s not a 1 for 1 replacement. More pass rush and may end up being more productive there but he’s not the same. Like 40 lbs lighter and a true defensive end
I'll add fuel to the fire. But if the Clones move to a 4-2-5 adding Cannon & Malone could be a 2 for 1 replacement.:p

Or the staff feels it needs more quick & lean DE's like McDonald to make the 3-3-5 work. We have big LB's against the run game.
