Bump. I didn't see this posted anywhere but Blum and CW mentioned on their podcast Larry Eustachy was coming back for the Baylor game 1/4. Sorry if there is an active thread but I didn't see it anywhere and this is a pretty big deal!

Agree don’t think there is one
Seems like this isn’t getting as much buzz as I would have expected

Confused. Are they honoring the 00-01 team or 99-00? Seems like they’re saying 00-01, but 99-00 would make more sense since it is 25 years and the more successful team.

I have such vivid memories of those teams. November of the 99-00 season was when I made a campus visit and decided to attend ISU. Being from the Chicago area I watched the few games that were on national TV and listened to the rest with Pete Taylor and Eric on Yahoo streaming radio. That season immediately hooked me on Cyclone basketball. My freshman year I attended every home game and sat 1st row in the student section that 00-01 season. Watching them celebrate after the Nebraska game to win back to back B12 titles was special. Was sad to see Larry go downhill and have to leave, but things were already trending down performance-wise at that point so not sure if he would have ever taken another ISU team to a special season. I do seem to remember them having a hard time finding a good candidate to replace Larry and they settled for Wayne. Makes you wonder what would have been if Larry never had the drinking issue. Happy to see he has turned his life around. I wonder if he will be given the mic at Hilton tomorrow. Wouldn't it be something if he issued an apology? Not saying he owes it to anyone, but would be quite emotional if he did.

Most very recognizable, but had to zoom in on the name tag for a couple. Must admit I was surprised to see Shane Power.

I couldn't zoom enough to read tags, would you please identify them? Larry i recognized and I assume Shane was in the blue shirt?
Wonder if Stacey Eustachy is still in the area?

Maybe because there is a whole generation of recent Cyclones (current students and recent grads) who weren't even alive during this era. That generation is what pushes events like this on social media the most.

This was literally the era when I got hooked to Cyclone Athletics for life. I was 8 years old and Basketball was elite, Football won its first bowl game ever. Larry was the man! His skirmishes with the refs were FIRE! That 2000 Elite Eight Michigan State was the saddest thing in my life at the time (thanks @FriendlySpartan).

Larry had his issues but it truly sounds like he is a changed man since. CW and Blum had him on a Podcast a couple years ago and it was fantastic. I HIGHLY encourage any ISU fans from that era to check it out. Some great stories and he goes into how he changed his life for the better out of that stretch of his life. This makes me so happy that after all this time he can formally make amends with the ISU community and come back to Hilton.
