Gotta take the 3 in that situation. Shaggy can make that one. Essentially a PAT fg.

No way. Shaggy about came closer to kicking it out of bounds rather than through the uprights the previous try. We need touchdowns to have any chance of winning. How many Shaggy misses do we need to see. When he's in a groove he's ok. He's not in a groove.

Great first half by the defense. I liked going for it on 4th and 1 but didn't like the play call... OU knew what was coming.

Who is our backup kicker? Shaggy looks more nervous on the sidelines than I am.

The call to go for it was good but the play call was terrible.

Play call wasn't terrible - it just won't work in that situation for another 3 or so years. We just don't have the line right now to shove the OU D line back to make that play work when they know that play is going there.

I hate to say this but unless we come out better than the first half we won't win. We had two HUGE opportunites that could have put us up 13-0 or 21-0, which is quite a lead into halftime. I would love to see them come out strong again and win the game, but it's hard to win when you can't convert in the redzone.

Yeah, the defense played with a lot of passion in the first half. It really helped that the offense put together some nice drives to keep them off the field. Conversely, WE REALLY NEED TO SCORE IN THE REDZONE! It's infuriating to watch things fall apart past the 20 yard line.

I don't know . . . when you only need a few inches and your O-line is very overmatched, I don't think bringing the ball that far behind the line of scrimmage is a good idea . . . I like the call to go for it, but would prefer a QB sneak.

That's why I implied "3 years from now" - we shouldn't be so overmatched several years from now.

It's just so hard for us to score points, that when given a decent shot you've got to take it. No doubt Shaggy is struggling, but I believe he made 5 in a game not too long ago.

I liked the call to go for it because in a game like this I think you need to play to win but I wasn't a fan of the playcall. Like people have said the o-line is overmatched and that exact play just got stuffed on 3rd down. Play action maybe?

Either way it's going to be a tough second half and I think we'll need to put some points on the board.
