Looks pretty even to me.

This could turn out to be one of the ugliest bowl games this season.

Minny averaged only 21.5 PPG, and gave up 24.5 PPG
ISU averaged 21 PPG, and gave up 22.5 PPG

Offense: Minny 296 total yds (Rush 98, Pass 198), ISU 360 (Rush 178, Pass 182)

Thanks for the information. Looks like they're about even. Just curious: I assume the ISU Defense is 414 total (169 Rush, 245 Pass)?

I live in Minny and would like to share this with some of my friends who are Gopher fans.

It is funny, to me, that you say Minny ONLY averaged 21.5ppg (as to highlight how low the total is with the word ONLY) and you follow that up with ISU averaged 21 ppg.......

Heres a stat for you all...

In the past 2 years, the combining score of the Iowa Hawkeyes vs the Gophers and the Clones is 118-8... Haha this bowl game will be a shootout... I will take the Gophers winning on a last second field goal. 3-0... ;)

Minnesota could make our defense look good. That would normally be hard to do yet they could do it.
We could also make there offense look great so there is always that. I like this match up. I don't see us getting blown out and that scared me when we became bowl eligible. I also think we could win this game.

I'm really hoping the additional bowl practices help the offense gel. We have got to score more points than we have been. Go Cyclones!

The stats are a little different after Decker got hurt. The passing ypg is going to be higher due to weber throwing for 416 against Mich St.

With Decker
23.1 ppg 103.4 rpg 190.2 ppg Decker 105.4 ypg

Without Decker
19.4 ppg 89.4 rpg 209.4 ppg

Take out the mich st. game, which was Weber's career game and the ppg is 157.7.

Decker was hurt for about 4 and a half games in which minn went 2-3 and the wins were against mich st. and south dakota st.

Minnesota is freaking HORRIBLE without Decker. I've never seen a more inept offense the past 3 weeks of the season. The wide recievers dropped the ball worse than NU's did against us. Just plain terrible. We can beat them by 2 TD's.

Ya that says BCS Bowl, so when was the last time Isu was in a BCS Bowl??? The Hawks have won more bowl games than the clones have even played in. I saw today that this years insight bowl is the 2nd worst rated ever. Ha so what's ur excuse for that one?

I want to say that Minnesota got shut out at Ohio State as well. That's the game where Decker got hurt.
