I really can't believe these guys can be who they are and make such stupid choices. I'll never understand how you can get a free ride scholarship and be a starting player and then go out a make a stupid, idiotic choice that jeopardizes your status with your team and your possible professional future.

Duh!!!!

A search warrant could mean many things, but likely either stolen items (from an individual or individuals, or retailer) or drugs of some type.

What stupid choice did he make? You seem very judgemental about his situation, but do you even know whta it is?

The DM register likes to the stir the pot and make ISU look bad.

This is huge, between losing Haughton, Alburtis, graduates from last year and now Sims I feel like ISU will not be making a bowl. Assuming Sims is done, I think this is the final straw for this team.

A search warrant, nothing good comes from a search warrant.

It's called being dumb and young. If the majority of normal students were under the microscope these guys are you'd see the same mistakes.

My statement was more a generalization about college athletes messing up despite everything they have going for them.

Specifically, I don't know what David did, but there is lots of smoke here.

True, but when you're in a position where you're under a microscope you need to work that much harder to be sure and keep your nose clean. Whether it's fair to be placed in that position is irrelevant. By becoming a student athlete you put yourself under that microscope and need to behave as such.

On a lighter note, here's a great comment from the DSM article:
Update: DM Register looking for an incident that can potentially involve a star reporter. Great job!! [written by WIClone]

Well it obviously isn't a reporter from the Register because they have no "star" reporters. :biglaugh:

I love the fact that the Register runs a story about a rumor involving an ISU player. That's professionalism.

It is obvious that the Register hacks troll this board for their stories, so take that into consideration when posting info regarding rumors.

So are they suppose to wait on all stories until the case goes through the judicial system? Innocent until proven guilty. Stop being so sensitive.
