Anyone going? Anyone interested? I want to go, but I don't want to go alone.

@greatshu , I don't think I'll be going to the game, since my wife is insanely superstitious about where we watch games lately, but if I can convince her to go, I'll definitely buy you a beer

A few weeks ago I was interested in going but couldn't find any friends that were or couldn't due for some reason. Then I had a quite an expensive week last week of home repairs that probably has squashed my desire to go now as that would add a few hundred dollars more to the credit card between tickets, hotel, gas and food expenses.

It's definately on my bucket list to see a game there some day and this would probably be as good as any year to go watch ISU play there.

If anyone wants to go with me, holler. I would rather go with another Cyclone than all by myself.

I feel like I need to go. Going to be the only game I can make it to besides the conference tournament, but don’t have anyone to go with. Would prefer to sit next to a fellow Cyclone though if someone has an extra ticket!!

I live in Overland Park and try to make this game every year but not sure if it’ll happen this year.

Think I am going now. A buddy that previously thought he could not make it work can go now and after the game last night it made it even more obvious to us that we need to make this bucket list trip this year.

Some questions for those who have gone to games at KU:
1. Give us some pointers about where to park and how early to arrive
2. Hotel recommendations - are there any decent places nearby within walking distance by chance? It's not a must but it doesn't look promising when I Google options, the closest is a Quality Inn about 1.5 miles away and reviews aren't the best. I'll gladly pay to stay in a place that is not run down or dirty. Prices aren't bad at all within Lawrence that night and KC area the same.
3. Places nearby to eat before the game. It's an 8pm tip and we will likely shoot to arrive mid afternoon so we can check-in to a hotel, scope out the parking situation, and get something to eat beforehand and hopefully some places open late enough afterwards too.

Any other tips I didn't think of share here. Thanks

Interesting, will have to check that out. I mean they are just over a mile walk from AFH it looks like so even if you are allowed to park there its doable to walk even.
I accidentally deleted my post -
If you want the info again I can repost -it was an easy way to do it

A trip to The Wheel is necessary.
