As of this posting (Wednesday @ 9:45 AM), it's ISU favored by 10.5 over Oklahoma State for Saturday's game.

What do you think? Too high? Too low? Just right?

Take care of the ball and it is a 2+ score win (14+ points). There is no reason that ISU can't duplicate or exceed the results that Baylor got last week...at OSU by the way. We have both a better defense and offense than Baylor and it's at the Jack.

The last 3 weeks they've covered pretty easily so that would be a fun continuing trend.

Too high. If Ok St doesn’t have TOs, they’re a dangerous team.We aren’t good at winning the TO battle.

Agreed. We don't turn teams over particularly well and that's one of the big reasons OK St has been losing (turning the ball over). Our secondary isn't that aggressive and OK St is certainly going to challenge our corners. Getting Breece running downhill again will be a huge factor.

OSU was up 20-10 in the 3rd quarter, and again 27-24 with 9 minutes left in the game. They just got sloppy and had a fumble returned for a TD, and gave up two long TDs. Turnovers are a part of the game, and Oklahoma St has had their share, but Iowa St must also force them.

If this is an even, or Iowa St is negative in turnovers, then it will be very close score, or a loss.

I'm surprised the spread is over 6. With their run game Purdy's opportunities will be more limited. If we cover the spread it will probably be a result of more boneheaded play by OSU's QB.

Which will win out, Ok St’s propensity to make mistakes, or our tendency to not win the turnover margin?

Our offense will need to be productive and largely mistake free.

I'd like to add more to this.

@ Texas
Midway through the 3rd quarter OSU was up 23 to 21, including two OSU turnovers to Texas with none. Then OSU has three turnovers in a row (Texas had 1 turnover). OSU had 5 turnovers to Texas 1 and still only lost by 6 points (30-36).

@ Texas Tech
OSU was never in the lead during this game. However, while they had 5 turnovers (TT had 0), they still put up 35 points and only lost by 10.

Baylor
OSU was winning 27 to 24 in the 4th quarter, with OSU having one turnover, Baylor having 2 at that point. In the 4th quarter OSU had 2 turnovers which doomed them.

Even with all of these turnovers OSU is still putting up points. IMO this OSU offense is good, but it's been shooting itself in the foot multiple times. Also, I don't believe the OSU defense is a bad as the stats say. Due to all of the turnovers, they have been on the field a lot more. Fatigue sets in.

IF Iowa St defense is playing well, it will be the toughest defense Oklahoma St has seen this year. I like Iowa St comfortably, if they can hold them to like 24 or 27 points.

The opening line was Iowa State -7 and it didn't take long for the line to move to -10.5.
