Is TT a must win game?

Maybe not a must win, but it sure makes it tougher to get where we want to go if we lose. Thats not only from a one less win perspective either. If we lose it stops our momentum going into the conference season and there's this feeling of scratching and clawing out wins to get to 6 that we've become accustomed to. If we win, I think for the first time in a long time the program starts to feel like it's riding a bit of a wave and we can feel really good about TCU and K-State. That talk of starting 6-0 starts to feel kind of realistic. It's not must win, but damn it would be nice.

Likely our easiest remaining game.

Win, and we start having serious momentum. Lose, and making a bowl is in serious jeopardy.

Kool aid aside, heck yes it is a must win. Trying to make a dent in anything over 6 wins makes TT and KU must wins. It's at home and you won't find another game where we might be favored this year.

If we want to have a good season I'd say this is pretty close to a "must-win". Because if we have the team we think we have then there is no doubt we will beat Tech. Lose to Tech and suddenly winning 6 games looks mighty tough. I don't know why everybody is going all coachspeak on what was a pretty normal question.

Exactly. It's just a discussion. I'm sure Jake Knott is on here reading up and running back to the locker room going "hey guys, don't get too worried about this Texas Tech game! The guys on CycloneFanatic say its not a "must-win" game"

I feel like if the program wants to keep heading in the direction we all think it is right now, this is as close to a "must-win" game as it gets. A good chance to improve/establish our spot in the pecking order of a very competitive Big 12.
