In the Universe? Of course. Just our little Galaxy is so large it’s almost impossible to comprehend. And it’s almost a certainty there is plenty of life that evolved intelligence within it. It would be crazy to think we are all there is. Let alone in a Universe whose scale is unfathomable.

That question is not really linked to the no answer though, which is focused on our own little planet and solar system.

There probably is.

But at the same time, it probably isn't all that interested in us, so any of the "UFOs" we know of probably aren't aliens.

The scale of the level of technology required to achieve interstellar travel is absolutely massive. Way, way ahead of where we are now. The energy requirements alone are way beyond anything we can think of. We would be pretty uninteresting for a civilization of that technological level.
Plus, the really hard part is getting the species who achieve interstellar travel or communication to evolve on the same timeline. I mean, we’ve only had radar and flight and radios for around a century of the 4.5 Billion years Earth has been around. For that matter, we humans have only been here for a blip of our planets history. Hell we could’ve had aliens cruising by and doing flyovers for Billions of years here and we’d never know.

If you achieve interstellar travel it will be more likely to find evidence of dead civilizations then live one’s. But if we ever do make it there someday (highly doubtful) I expect we’ll eventually find a lot of life in our corner of the Galaxy and a lot of long dead species.

(Cloneice beat me to some of my thoughts /bow)

Elon Musk (and many other scientists) have talked about the fact that there most certainly is intelligent life somewhere in the universe, but that there’s been an ‘event’ that ended that life. So even if we had the technology to scour outer space and find them, that our timing could just be billions and billions of years off and by that time the alien life and it’s remnants have turned to dust.

This is why Musk is hellbent on establishing life throughout our galaxy, so we don’t just poof into dust, to be forgotten forever. Spurred on by the fact that the sun will expand and obliterate Earth on 5 billion years. Personally, I think we are our own worst enemies here and will probably do the work for the sun.

As for alien life/tech here on our planet - I’m leaning towards “it’s man made”. But I wouldn’t mind being wrong since it would be the greatest story in human history…outside of Gillian’s Island.

How charitable of Elon. I thought he was doing it for the money.

Of course he is doing it for the money but he is right. The level of technology that will develop because of a Mars mission will be amazing. The tech that came from the moon missions has been beneficial.

Humans would be basically bugs to a civilization like that. They would like our planet however, and probably would have the same amount of moral conscious about eradicating us as we would swatting flies.

He’s an obnoxious troll but I think he’s probably also brilliant.

He just got about 80 million Americans to stop irrationally fearing electric vehicles in the span of a couple weeks by snapping his fingers.

I voted no but only because I don’t think we should be lumping UFO talk and extraterrestrial life together.

There is a reason some of this UFO stuff has been classified/hidden. I’m not sure why, but I don’t think it has to do with extraterrestrial life.

There is probably intelligent life out there, but as someone else said, it may be in a form we can’t even comprehend.

I believe UFO's are secret tech being developed by US, China, Russia, North Korea, Sri Lanka, Dr. Evil, etc.

As far as aliens go. Would future me traveling back to 2022 qualify as an Intelligent Human Life traveling in a UFO??

That is possible. But on the other hand, for a civilization to have such an amazing level id technology and continue to learn and expand without wiping itself out, it could mean they have moved beyond solving conflicts through force or war. Or, they could simply not be a warlike species to begin with. They could be completely different than humanity.

There is definitely intelligent life out there - somewhere, and at some time. The idea that our planet is the only one in The Galaxy, let alone universe to evolve it is completely ridiculous.

Whether that life can reasonably use interstellar travel as a means to contact other species is the harder question. We aren’t even close.

You have put some thought into this. I like it.

The universe is so big that it’s impossible that there isn’t life, even intelligent life, some where.

Until relatively is solved or aliens show up here, it really doesn’t mean ****. We can’t even figure out our healthcare

Agree with this.

1. Take care of this lifeboat we're on.
2. Monitor for asteroids.
3. Listen for signals if anybody else is talking out there.
