ESPN is doing this now.
WHo would be on Iowa's Mt Rushmore as far as sports are concerned. As far as I know, there are no qualifiers other than being affiliated with the state at some point.
Probably Gable and Warner as shoe-ins, after that is tough

Personally, I'd make it either.

- Gable for sure.
- Maybe Warner.
- There's no way I do this personally, but if you took a statewide poll, I'm sure we'd end up with Hayden Fry. (Excuse me while I puke.)
- Not sure who else?

Nobody outside of Iowa knows anything or cares about either the Cyclones or the Hawkeyes.

If the list referenced athletes that are nationally known, it would be for professional or olympic sports:

Bob Feller
Bruce Jenner
Zach Johnson
Shawn Johnson
Kurt Warner

Since this is IOWA's Mount Rushmore, I am not sure why national recognition means anything.

OK, so who'd be on Iowa State's Mount Rushmore?

Cael Sanderson
Johnny Orr
Fred Hoiberg
Pete Taylor?
