I'm sure ending the scrimmage with more points is the hoped for result, but I suspect TJ is looking for other metrics.
Me? After most of the bigs didn't play against Creighton, I'm interested in that area. I assume the Cyclone backcourt chewed them up.

I think there's quite a bit of pausing and talking through scenarios but I may be thinking of something else.

Torvik has them going 19-12 (10-10).

They're not likely to be great but they're not likely to be terrible, either.

I'll take a wild guess that they have a good/decent offense and optional defense with exception to a few games like one night in December.

If you are referring to their game against Minn Duluth it was not a secret scrimmage, it was a exhibition game.
This got me wondering when most-recent season ISU played an exhibition (and not secret scrimmage).

From what I found on cyclones.com, 2017-18 vs. Emporia State.

Does anyone know why we've gone the scrimmage route? Or is that more common in D-1 in general recently anyway?

Aren’t there rules of who you can play in an exhibition vs scrimmage? I assume ISU wants to tune up against D1 competition. Where Iowa prefers to play against their level of competition in exhibitions.

I watched some of it On Nebby Public TV. Greg McDermott now 32-0 in D1 exhibition games including 15-0 at Creighton and 7-0 with ISU. This was a charity game and raised $150,000 for the United Way of the Midlands Disaster Relief Fund. Purdue is preseason #14 and Creighton #15. I think the final was 94-87 Creighton.

I don't know, but over the weekend I have seen Kansas @ Arkansas and Illinois @ Ole Miss exhibition games. I'd like Iowa State to do that!
