Again - this game never seems to turn out like we expect. Clones should win, but I'm having a hard time convincing myself that they will. The key is for NWB and DJ to be the calming influence these young kids need when Iowa goes on runs - and you just know they will.

I think Fran will try to take advantage of his overall height and play zone, and if DJ and Wiggy can continue the hot 3 point shooting, the Cyclones should win. Not comfortably, mind you....it wouldn't be shocking to me if the game came down to the last possession.

This game scares the crap out of me for a lot of reasons, mostly though because of how embarrassing it would be to lose. If we win, it would feel more like a sense of relief than anything else.

Meh, Iowa will be far more embarrassed if they lose, as this is supposed to be a year that they put it together and finally have the potential to do something in March. I agree with you on the sense of relief though. Rivalry games are almost always that way.

I think they're well past the point of embarrassment by now. I'd say apathy has set in already.

Way up there
It's always scary to play a team that has their backs to the wall, if they beat ISU, they can ignore their 0-2 b1g start and blame all their struggles on Connor being out. They always circle ISU on the calendar but this year its easily their most important game as far as the rest of the season goes. A loss tonight will bury them.

For those not keeping score, Iowa NEEDS this game to hold onto any realistic hope of making the NCAA tourney, outside of winning the conference tournament.

They lose tonight and they have to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to make the tourney. They know this, we are going to get their best shot.

This sums it up perfectly.

We live and die by Donovan Jackson's 3 ball. If he is hot I predict we win. If he is cold we lose.
