Even if this year's expectations are low, I'm excited about the potential of next years team. As it looks now we will only lose:

Three guys due to eligibility:
Starter on defense - Gerry Vaughn
Potential starter on offense (OR) - Dimitri Stanley
Backup on defense - Ben Nikkel

One most likely to the NFL (could be more by year end):
Starter on defense - TJ Tampa

Next year you only lose 2 maybe 3 starters on all offense and defense. And only 4 guys on the entire depth chart!! That's pretty exciting. I'm just hoping this year we see progress and start to right some wrongs (offensive line, special teams, third down offense).

Wow, Gilbert didn’t even win the backup kicker job. Appears he can be added to the list of high school kicker recruits that have not panned out for Campbell. That appears to be one area where he has yet to succeed in recruiting

I’d never recruit a high school kicker, I’d pluck a FCS one or a proven D2 one and give them some money. Find one already developed
