Maybe to get a higher seed; however I'd bet there's no correlation between how a team ends the regular season and how they then perform in the NCAA tourney.Yep. The key is righting the ship. Michigan State lost three straight, including one to Indiana at home and another at Illinois. They've lost two starters. But they've managed to win five in a row, including one at Michigan. There's still plenty of time to get hot, but late February isn't generally when you want to run into adversity. The next two weeks are huge.

Texas Tech, for example, lost 5 of their last 7 reg season games last year. But they played brilliantly in the tourney, losing only when they had to play Nova in the Elite Eight.
