Just a friendly reminder to stop by the ISU booth at the fair if you have the opportunity. They have posters and pocket schedules as well as temporary tattoos for the kids. The merchandise is also worth checking out. There is a better selection and there are some cool items I hadn't seen before.

Which posters do they have out there? At the meet the coaches night they had a Brent Curvey poster and at the Media Day I got a Deandre Jackson and Scott Stephenson poster. Do you know which ones they have out there at the fair? I have to say they are pretty sweet posters making the cyclone effect on the legs of the players.

They have the Curvey posters..i agree that they are pretty sweet...and they have little schedule cards with Flynn on them...

On the way to the fair from my hotel I saw a Blythe billboard, that looked great too..Kudos to Pollard for getting the Cyclone word out like that.. I have yet to see the board outside of Cedar Rapids, but I'm really looking forward to it.

I loved the copy of it "It's a Cyclone State"..they have a HUGE banner with that same design on it at the fair on the side of the booth. I got my picture taken by it! Loved it...

Finally, I live in Northeast Iowa, and It was an ABSOLUTE JOY to get out to Des Moines and see all of the Cyclone fans wearing ISU clothing! All i see out here is hawkeye crap and at times it gets lonely, but I do know that I'm on the right side! Thank you fellow Cyclone fans!! For my second day in the fair I made sure to join them and I threw on one of my many ISU shirts...

GO CYCLONES!!

Was out at Fair on Friday night with what seemed like the entire population of Des Moines. Wow, big crowd. Here's what I noticed -- Seemed like the ISU v. UOI shirts/t-shirts/hats ratio was running about 60/40 in favor of the Hawks. Note to all Clone fans to wear the colors when attending the Fair this and every year!

Maybe the DSM/Ankeny Cyclone clubs could organize/designate one day when we all wear our cardinal gear and blow the squaks out of the water!

Go Clones!

Yes, but 80% of those in hawk gear also sported a mullet.

Your comment brings a smile to my face. There are three types of Hawk fans. The first are the drs/laywers that actually went there. Picture a monocled man with a top hat and a white bushy mustache smuggly saying, "Hmm.. yes, Cyclones. How quaint." The second type are the 10-15% who are normal people who cheer for all Iowa schools who have normal jobs, and normal lives. The third are the mulleted, tattoed, toothless, militant derelicts who still think its 1989 and ISU is some second-rate football team. These are the loud, obnoxious fair-goers of whom you speak.

I totally agree, although you did forget the Hawkeye closet fans who think that last years 7-5 reg. season team is far superior to the Cyclone 7-5 team they lost to.

...as well as Northwestern and Michigan, with identical 7-5 records who also beat them head to head, yet EIU ends up playing on Jan.1. Complete BS.

Quite the assortment of miscreants, indeed. Their favorite hobbies include huffing gasoline and impregnating 13 year olds.

We went out there yesterday afternoon...was much hotter than I thought it was going to be.

Finally left in favor of cooler activities.
