To those having problem with the Official Iowa State blog just right click "this frame" only then in he next box hit frame. As for ISU at Texas good luck!
Thanks! I like seeing what happens on the blog and then hearing that announcer say it. He is good.If you want to listen too http://texas.leanplayer.com/
To redeem this season we have to win aganst top teams and it was not going to be tonight. But there is no reason we can not win most of the next six games:Well, no focus maintained. We lose 15-25 in the second and third sets. This team may be lucky to finish 5th in the league.

We were right there, tied at 23. Frustrating. Morgan Kuhrt really came on late. Hope we maintain our focus.
Agree.
I did not listen to CJL's presser for an explanation of why Capezio is not playing more. I'm assuming she has injury or illness issues.
The talent of the Frosh and Sophs on the roster is evident so the future looks bright for them but they are having growing pains against a increasingly competitive conference.
Yep, I was there last night in person at Gregory Gym. Didn't have the commentator feed (and admittedly not a VB expert either) but it sure looked like a lot of fundamental mistakes called like double hits, carries and such(??) Seemed like quite a bit of miscommunication on assignments bumping into each other. Not the coherency I recall in recent past years.
........ I was REALLY disappointed in the ISU fan turnout. I have gone to most of these in Austin for the past 16 yrs and this had to be the scantiest cardinal-clad crowd I can ever rememberAdmittedly the Austin club didn't do a very good job of advertising this time. But I saw/met very few parents even(?)
I don't kow the answer to this. If you can get people to a good match there is a good chance they will like what they see but getting them to that first good match seems to be a tough nut to crack. When the team was in Minneapolis to play the Gophers a few weeks back the Alumni Association sent a notice out to 5000 local alumni. Maybe 1500 of these actually got opened and read. I went but only saw a handful of other ISU fans there.
Agree.
The departures/recruiting misses of Hudson and Malloy combined with the lack of production from the remaining JRs and SRs on the roster is really hurting the team this season. For whatever reason, both Bigbee and Hurtt have flatlined or regressed from prior seasons. Knuth's injuries have limited her but I'm not sure if you can blame injuries entirely for reduced production from Bigbee and Hurtt although I'm aware that Hurtt has recently had injury issues. I also question at times the team's overall level of physical conditioning.

To that point, curious what the Texas fan turnout in Hilton is being they have been a Top-5 team for the past 5 years now, not to mention 2012 nat'l champs. I see last year's UT@ISU post-game says Hilton attendance was 3,490.
Was anyone here at that game (Hahn's sr. night)? Anyone happen to take notice to make a guess at how many of that 3.5K fans were wearing burnt orange?
Sure, Texas has a larger alumni pool around the country so I admit this ain't quite apples to apples ;-) But if a powerhouse program like UT with a larger alumni base can't get travelling fans, I suppose our VB program can't necessarily expect any better ;-)
