I think it will take some time for these guys to jell offensively. But I'm impressed with CSP's ability to preach and demand defense, we saw how that worked with Fred's guys, who never had to work hard at defending. This is a very tough match-up for us, but if we can find a way to win, it might be important in March.

Having said that, I'm going..........MU 79, ISU 61. Like others above, I hope I'm wrong.

Don't know much about Mizzou other than seeing some highlights of Porter this morning...he's a dude and seems to be a dude with a good head on his shoulders.

I don't think ISU wins but it'd be encouraging to see them compete and show signs of what's hopefully to come.

82-74 Clones. It would be worse if we had Lard, but we will be just fine tonight.

I think we play better than we did on Sunday.

I'd pick the clones to win if it were at Hilton, but.. 76-68 Mizzou

That's pretty much what I hope every game this year. The team gives forth good effort, stays in the game and hopefully keep it close at the end to have a chance to win.

The polls have Mizzou at #31 right now. I think our guys can do it. 72-69 ISU.

82-62 ISU. I think Mizzou's youth, recent history, inexperience, and traditionally weak opponents will catch up to them and our few returners, who played against much tougher opponents and learned from much better players, will be the difference. Also, our discipline will be a factor, especially because it's so early in the season.

I am contradicting my previous predictions but I always get hyped on game day.

D-Jack goes B-A-N-A-N-A-S, 25 Points
Babb with the lock down D on Porter
Wiggintgon puts someone on a poster

Clones take down the traitors in the pit of misery 79-70

ISU wins 74-73. Jackson hits a corner 3 off an inbound play for the lead with 5 seconds left. Young then swats away the final shot on a drive to the hoop as the buzzer sounds. I have a beer then consider having another and will follow that by checking out CyFan.

First off I will say I don't expect us to be good this year, especially at the beginning of the year but there is a reason the line opened as low as it did. I expect a 75-68 type Mizzou win but I don't see us getting blown out

Iowa State has the nation's longest streak of 117 consecutive games without losing by 15 or more points. Unfortunately, this could come to a screeching halt tonight from what I saw on Sunday. Missouri 87 Iowa State 70

"If you love the process, the process will love you back. Just not yet."

I'm not ready to write off these young men's season by any means but I would speculate that they're not yet ready to score and defend at a high level as a unit. Other than the Porters, it sounds like from comments here that the rest of the supporting cast isn't great but elite talent sometimes wins out. I'd guess a 10+ pt victory by Mizzou.

ISU loses by 8-10
Their freshmen are a bit better than ours right now. Porter is a 1 and done, and would be in the NBA this year if they allowed it.

Homer pick. ISU 71 Mizzou 70. The Cyclones win on a buzzer beater by DJ, who is one of four Cyclones to score double digits along with LW, NWB, and Talley.
