I don't like that ISU only has 8 available players mixed with Mizzou having 5 rotation guys that are 6'10 or 6'11 and 2 more that are 6'7.

I'll start off by saying that both teams are very young. Missouri almost completely revamped. Porter Jr. for obvious reasons is the headliner.

Hard to predict the first game, but I think the fact that will only play 7 guys may hurt us in the end especially defensively if we get into foul trouble. May force us to play soft, and less aggressive on that side.

Missouri 89
Iowa State 82
Mizzou ...... 89, clones 70

Babb needs to guard Porter. Play great position, if he shoots over you, so be it

Our guys will be motivated and will play hard. We need to speed up the game with our guards and hit our free throws. Keep them honest on the boards and hit some 3s. I hope Porter is a primadonna an Cuonzo is Cuonzo when it comes to his ability to coach the game of basketball.

My guess is Missouri 78, Iowa State 67. It stays somewhat close throughout, ISU can't quite close the gap, and Mizzou seals it with late FT's in must-foul situation.

There's possibility margin could be even wider, Missouri holding a talent/size advantage and it's @ Missouri, but I'm not sold on Martin having team chemistry developed yet.

Not an easy season-opening test. That might be a good thing in the long-term, though.

I think this will be very similar to the Vandy game last year. We stay close in the first half, and then their front court dominates the second half and we lose by 5 points or so. I'll say

Mizzou- 78
ISU- 73
