Iowa State looked really good at the beginning of the season.
Hell of a lot better than Iowa looked.
Iowa State looked really good at the beginning of the season.
After week one yes. How'd your week one go? Just like us Purdue was missing an all American pass catcher plus their coach to boot.far better? not sure. Pretty close with Northwestern. So you're saying "we got killed by Louisiana-Lafayette but we'd have crushed the Hawks if we had played them" ?
Stop blaming the pandemic.
This might come as a surprise to you but the Fiesta Bowl Championship team was a lot better than the team the year beforeafter a 3 OT win over UNI the year before I wouldn't call South Dakota St a gimme
Yes we would haveLets see. You got spanked by 3 scores at home to the #15 team but for sure would've beat the #16 team on the road? What was your best road win this year?
It's still Iowa's Super Bowl but I'm on record thinking the talent gap is so big that Iowa State still winsSo next year your “Super Bowl” excuse is off the table?
So all that means you'd have beaten the Hawks in IC? You didn't beat anybody on the road as good as Iowa. After week one yes. How'd your week one go? Just like us Purdue was missing an all American pass catcher plus their coach to boot.
Do you really want to compare how Iowa and Iowa state began the season? First 3 games which is a normal non con Iowa went 1-2 losing to the only team on your schedule with a winning record while Iowa State went 2-1 splitting games v. teams that finished ahead of Iowa in every postseason poll.
Stop blaming the pandemic.
Iowa football lives on perpetual easy mode. You don't want to voluntarily add two Top 10 teams to your schedule.
Exactly, Texas beat a ranked Oklahoma state plus 3 other reams with winning records.Yes we would have
Texas
Bump for @Legend Hawk
I'll take that as a yes that this was the easiest schedule for Iowa in recent memory?Pandemic year sucks for Big10 when the University Presidents totally screwed the member schools.
The rules are anything to divert attention away from the racism issues.Just so I'm clear, ISU did NOT improve from week 1 until the bowl game? I mean, because that first game of the season sure seems to have a lot of attention from hawk fans. Or is it only they can improve from week 1 after losing to a poor Purdue team? I'm just trying to figure the rules out.
Dude join reality. In 3 of the last 5 previous years Iowa played a tougher schedule according to the majority of SOS metrics. Not sure why ISU fans live in this fantasy land that they are facing considerably harder schedules.
No.
This past year widens that gap even more.
So do you use the eye test or head up your ass test?lol, Sagarin and FPI, talk about cherry picking data.
