Living over 30 miles from Mason city, I can’t get that stream. I asked the station and a grumpy guy there told me to get rabbit ears. I did and nothing. You gotta have mediacom or an antenna to get it.

Now lets hope they use the great play by play talent in state (Wells, Braley, Schaben, Cohen, Kenney, etc) instead of the garbage they've been rolling out for the past 20 years.

But, looking ahead to NEXT year...

The interesting words in the release are "for the first time ever." IPTV hasn't had the rights to live coverage of boys high school football or basketball until today's announcement.

Waukee NW has cut it to a 4 point game as they head to the 4th Qtr.

3-peat for Valley, joining Iowa City West (2012-14) as the only ones to do it in 4A.

And as usual, Valley kids acting like jackwagons in the final 30 seconds.

I'm pretty excited for what Jirak can be after he's been in a college strength and nutrition program.

I really want to know, but I'm too lazy to do the work... maybe I'll do it tonight. I wonder what percentage of Iowa schools over the past 15 years to make state, Class 3A and smaller, have been Dutch or private/Christian shools. Is it over 75%?

Record book is here:

2A seems to always have the most in the form of private schools. It's typically at least half of the field. As far as Dutch goes, I suppose it depends on how you define it. Obviously Pella would be one, but you have a large chunk of NW Iowa that could be considered as well. And those NW Iowa schools are always well represented in the tournament. If you have a generous definition of Dutch I could maybe see 75%.

Yep exactly what I mean. MOC Floyd Valley, Western Christian and Unity Christian (fit both categories), Rock Valley, Boyden Hull, both Pellas... could even say Central Lyon.

MOC-FV led by 23 midway through the 3rd; now down to a 3-point game with 1:04 left.
