I could live with Heineken, Amber Bock, Leinenkugels, Bud Select, Bud Heavy, Mich Golden... too many cheap beers to list. I would probably put Boulevard at the top, I am a pretty easy to please beer drinker. If I am limited to one, I too will go with an easy drinking, all purpose beer.

Hoegaarden is my first choice. Big wheat beer fan here.

Had Live Oak Hefeweizen last night for the first time. That could be climbing up the rankings quickly.

Is there a more overrated beer out there than Yuengling? I like it, don't get me wrong, but since we don't get here in the midwest everyone talks it up to be better than it is. Good beer but nothing special

It's like Templeton Rye. It's really solid but people talked about how it was the greatest b/c it was so hard to come by.

Anything that is not readily available becomes over rated./ over hyped. Yuengling is good but not great. Templeton Rye is good but not mind blowing.

As everyone keeps saying..Yuengling is good and all but overrated. The biggest problem with it is you get it around here.

I'm far from a beer snob...but ...I'd take a 12 pack of Sam Adams over nothing at all or something I cant even find around here.
Just sayin'...

Wow, can't believe there was no mention of Hoegaarden until page 5!

I would put that at the top too, then maybe König Ludwig Hefeweizen, I too am a fan of the wheats.

Nordeast or Premo's can't go wrong with either. Would most likely end up with Premo's due to nostalgic reasons.

And yes I would have Yuengling on this list. As others have stated not the best beer in the world but the best cheap beer out there by far.

I like a lot of beers, but i'm going to be limited to only one kind of beer it'd probably be a more generic all-purpose beer than a more pricey beer. And its not about the price, its that sometimes you want something more easy-drinking, especially if you were, say, playing drinking games with it or relaxing in the sun.
This is why I'll go with Golden Light. "All purpose" is a good description. Plus, it doesn't destroy me after a day of heavy drinking.

In my day, that would mean that you were talking about Coors.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, with Yuengling as a close second.

I would go with an American IPA (probably Racer 5), but if I ever wanted to pound beers for a whole day (i.e. go tailgating) the hops in an American IPA would lead to horrendous beer sh**s.

If I was limited to one style, I'd go with amber ales since they pair with just about any food you can imagine.
