This was an amazing game! I'm not a sunshine pumper. but when is the last time you saw a ISU team up two touchdowns on the number one big12 team going into the 4th quater? I realize that is pretty specific, but we are also talking about a year 1 coach.....

Oline UNBELIEVABLY CHECK- These guys are young but working hard and put it together.
DEFENSE CHECK- I get it we lost, but they were flying everywhere!

I was proud of this Iowa State team that played this hard. They worked throughout the game, against a team that was supposed to outscore them without doubt. 52-6 is not unreasonable. That could have been the score. Instead we all watched the beatdown that happened. Unfortunately it didn't end with a ISU win. I am pumped. Holy cow this ISU coach has the team playing very well!!!!

It's a lot better than I expected after game 1 against UNI.

I think they're starting to put some stuff together. We might not win a lot more games this year, but we are seeing improvement with this team.

This exactly! It was a big step in the right direction.

The game Vs UNI and this game are night and day different. I know people hate moral victories, but this was as close to a win as you get as a loss.

The run defense still need a lot of improvement though. That reminded me too much of the UNI game.

What has me excited is that we actually look like a component offense that is being coached up well. Defensively, our issues are mostly personnel. We have a lot to work with in the secondary, but for the rest we just need more talent and it looks like we are getting it here soon.

Seriously? Seriously! I am not defending my thread, but the idea that this game was great for ISU. You say more of the same..... when is the last time ISU led the #1 big 12 team going into the 4th quarter by 2 touchdowns?

This was the thread we needed. Disappointed with the outcome, but more so encouraged with the execution (for 75% of the game anyway). If we keep playing improved like this every week, we could break a few hearts (other teams not our own).

More of the same ISU would be getting the **** kicked out of us by Baylor and losing 48 to 7.

The team had a shot to win the damn game against a good Baylor team. That's not something that always happens for ISU.
