Tyler Allgeier lol. Come on man. What's the most important position in football? A 7th round rookie taking over a Super Bowl contender mid way through the season and making the team significantly better just doesn't happen. And you want to give the award to a backup RB for a terrible Falcons team lol.
1K rusher, around 1200 all-purpose yards, only 4 total TDs. It's basically the same arguments for KWIII, except Walker has more TDs. There were only 16 1K rushers this year and these guys were 2 of them as rookies.

How many rookies are starting QB's on Super Bowl Contenders?

Yeah, it is sad since Breece was on pace for about 1250 rushing yards, 11 rushing TDs, 590 receiving yards and 2 or 3 receiving TDs. And that was after only being ramped up from single digit carries in the first 3 games to being the bell cow in the last 3 games before his injury after about a quarter in that 7th game.

Brock Purdy isn’t winning ROY. Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, or Kenneth Walker III will win it. Brock will receive votes though. They’re not giving a guy who started 5 games the ROY on a team that was already one of the best in the league when he became the starter. It’s not like he came in and made them a contender. They already were.

Quality of the team shouldn't matter.
Agree but also how many of those players led their respective positions in the entire nfl in metrics like passer rating, yards, tds, etc over the timeframe that they played?

The voters who were paying attention will know that he had 6 wins to his credit since that Dolphins win was all him and no Jimmy G. But your point stands. I would be extremely surprised if he won it due to the number of games even at 6.

I don’t think he will win it but I think there is a legitimate case to be made he should win it.

I really think people are underselling just how dominate Purdy has been. Yeah he only has six games but he is first in like every stat over that timeframe at the most important position.

Offensive line?

More like offensive coordination and scheme design.

I think we are finding out how good some of our players were now that they have better designs, lines, and playcalling which to work with. I don't know how many times Manning called plays for Purdy, much like he did for Dekkers this year, to where there was no where to throw the ball when he needed to throw it. He would call slow developing routes, with every receiver seemingly being 15-20 yards downfield, and before anyone was out of their breaks Purdy was being rushed (worse with Dekker this year). Then you had the converse where it's 3rd and 10 and we run some ******** WR screen that never had a chance of working. Rarely did we run misdirection and play action was completely obliterated with the use of shotgun. Occasionally there were times, like the OU title game a few years ago, where Manning strung together some well called plays but those were aberrations.

Now that Purdy is in a system that operates under center, can utilize play action, utilizes misdirection, while having great protection he's thriving. He had absolutely none of that while here.

The funniest thing is that I have seen them win a Playoff Game! @ Cincinnati in January 2010. My only NFL Playoff Game was won by the JETS!

I also saw them when I was kid with Joe Namath at QB vs. the Boston Patriots @ Legion Field in 1970.

Finally, I saw them play in the old sombrero @ Tampa Bay in the Bucs creamsickle uniform days.

How is that for an odd ball NY Jets Tri-fecta?
Please bring those back, Those uni's were awesome!

You are 100% correct my friend. Kyle Shanahon helps make Brock look like Johnny Unitas

Probably hasn’t been mentioned enough, the niners O line is stellar.
