ib.adnxs.com virus help

Apparently, this virus attaches itself to browsers and redirects searches, etc. I use Firefox. I've spent the afternoon searching for, and trying, solutions to eradicate the virus but have been unsuccessful. Anyone here dealt with the virus?

For weird browser viruses like that, I usually update to the latest version of Malwarebytes (or Spybot), restart my computer, then run Malwarebytes (or Spybot) as administartor before doing anything else. Fixes it most of the time.

Man, you guys are good. Got home from work, and the problem was gone. How'd you guys do that?! <g>

Before leaving for work yesterday afternoon, I replaced Malwarebytes with a new download version. It was this new version, I think, that kicked out the virus.

"Burn the computer. Kill it with fire." You jest (right?), but I'm Luddite at heart. Often, I'm tempted, I'm tempted. . . .
