That Waukee-Dowling game was honestly pretty damn good. Outside of the first four minutes, in which pretty much everything that could go wrong did for Waukee, it was a very tight ball game. Gotta think Waukee went home feeling like they let that one get away.
As for Friday's championship, I don't see Wash beating Dowling. Wash simply doesn't have strong enough quarterback play, IMO; that's not a knock on Snitker, as he's not a quarterback and is only handling that job out of necessity. But Wash's defense is pretty good, the ground game is salty, and they've got some damn good receivers. If Rocky Lombardi were still there, this would be setting up as one of the best 4A title games in recent memory, IMO.
As it is, I'll take Dowling by 14-21 points.
