How much of the offensive inconsistency can be blamed on the awkward schedule?

The 2000 team beat the 4th, 5th, and 6th teams in the Big 12 North, and the 5th and 6th teams in the Big 12 South. There was a weak non-conference schedule that year too. The best win that team had was in the bowl game.

The Big12 was an awfully tough league in 2000..much more so than it has been over the last 4-5 years.
