How is the meal service at ISU?

Back in the day when I attended ISU, steak was served approximately one evening per month. My personal favorite was when banana splits were served. The only limit on ice cream was the amount that you could eat.

Steak days happen about every two weeks in the UDCC. Banana split night is always during dead week, I think. They say it's a tradition but we don't know how far back it goes.

I'd say it's pretty average. I've eaten in the UNI dining center and I think that one had better food. UDCC is by far the best place but after the remodeling is done at MWL that center should be good too. Quesadilla fridays are always good.

They took us into MWL. They must not have wanted us or something. UDCC's fries are top of the line.

I kid you not, I ate something off every section. Got chicken strips, fries, mashed potatoes, a 6" ham and turkey sub, two tacos, two slices of pizza, some spaghetti (which was meh), and had to cap it off with ice cream. Thank God they took us in there because the rest of the visit sucked since it was pouring and a lot of campus was under water

It was around before my time in the late 70s/early 80s.

UDCC is pretty good, MU is my second choice until the New MWL opens up at least. Oak-Elm eh. is decent. and linden just sucks, and is terrible.

I think that the UDCC is deace. Some days they have food that is really good but most of the time it is just average. I eat there most days but sometimes it is hard to eat there

As a former employee of the old UDCC (95-97), working the mornings of the "Egg McClone" was not fun. We could not keep up at all, you guys could eat those at a frenetic pace!:biggrin: I too have not been there since the whole Union Drive makeover took place.
