So, do we know what happened? I mean, what really happened. “Significant difference of opinion” is pretty strong wording.
At the end of the day- this is pretty much the story. Are there some incidents that came about? Yes. I liked Zadick but it is time to move on.
Replacements? There are not many former Cyclones that we can really hire at this time. Heck, given the time of the year, there are not that many coaches that we can hire.
We do pay pretty well in this sport and we are a step up from some jobs but we are not poaching anyone from a B1G school so be realistic when listing possible names.
A lot of it depends on what position we look to fill

I guess Hawkeye Athletes are like their fans. If there is one by them-self they can be tolerable. If there is two things can get sketchy. But, when you put 3 together one will become a raging D-bag.

I heard something happened at dressers anniversary that was the final nail in the coffin. It started with zaddick and st. John getting in a fist fight in a practice and the zaddick would call practices at random hours of the night.

I believe in Dresser and his vision. If Mike wasn't on board with that, then I am 100% behind Dresser's decision to cut ties. Most of us have worked in companies both good and bad, the more successful companies have a unified vision. Wrestling season still can not get here fast enough.

Holy cow. How would you like to try to break up that fight? I would be way too scared to get in the middle of it. Good thing there were guys a lot tougher than me at the event. I don't see those two giving up easily on their own.
Any names on who might be a possibility? Can't think of too many guys Dresser has a connection with that would be open to making a move right now.
Probably all depends if we're looking for a volunteer coach to take Medcalf's spot or we're swinging for the fences and looking for an Associate Head Coach

Usually coaches have a couple guys they can go after when a coach leaves the program. There are only so many guys a coach is going to trust to bring into their program. Depending on what guy is willing to take the job - the staff can be altered depending on experience and what that coach brings. Jarrod Garnett is the only previous Hokie I can think of with coaching experience that has ties to Dresser. He is also a lightweight and would be a perfect addition. I do wonder who the top 2 or 3 are though.
Hmmm... possibly the best recruiter available with a Dresser connection and open to make a move right now... Barry Davis!
